The World’s First Human Arabesque
Netherlands design studio WE ARE Pi collaborated with the Koener Union and Paris’ BIG Productionson a short video project for TEDxSummit. The video celebrates “the power of x” to multiply great ideas. An 18-meter high triangular mirrored structure was hung above a multi-colour moving floor to create the world’s first Human Arabesque (with no computer graphics).
From a distance, Yang Yongliang’s sculpture looks like a large, upside down cigarette. But a close inspection shows that the ashen tip depicts a city.
